~See you in the New Year~

Right about now I am longing to be sitting on one of these lovely balconies
with a cozy throw over my lap
and a hot steamy cup of cocoa.

Why do we all complain about how early Christmas celebrations start
(often before Halloween)
yet every year it seems we still are never really ready for it.
Maybe we all really do need three months to prepare?

As for me
I am feeling just a bit frenzied and stressed
Mr. Secret Agent and I have agreed not to exchange gifts this year.
He was a bit worried about that,
but I am sooooo OK with it this year.
I would love Christmas to become the type of holiday Thanksgiving is..
Relaxed and laid back
with the company of family and friends being the
best gift to each other.
I am so ready for that!
With that said,
I am taking a holiday break from blogging
until 2012.
I plan on enjoying my time with my three men
and visiting my very big family in New York.
So from my home to yours

The Reason for the Season
Merry Christmas
&
 Happy Holidays
Best Wishes for a Healthy 2012

Until next time...be kind and stay creative.

Janet, I have been following your blog since you finished your kitchen. I really enjoy reading your blog and looking at the pictures of projects you have finished. You are a very talented lady. I like and agree with you about Christmas. We as a society have forgotten what Christmas is really about, the birth of our Savior. I appreciate you standing firm on your belief and taking time off to relax and enjoy your family. Have a VERY Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. Jody

Merry Christmas Janet! I was just thinking maybe I need to start Christmas early, it seems to fly by too fast to really savor sometimes! Savor your time off, I'm taking a break too.

I too would love to be sitting on one of those beautiful balconies right now but at home here with Tinkerbell is not so bad. lol
Yes it would be the best thing ever if Christmas would be like Thanksgiving but I doubt my grandkids would agree to it.
Just thinking of you and wanted to come by and wish you a very Happy New Year
Love

I like it to be Christmas all year 'round....so we don't wait til then to do gift giving. It happens spontaneously any day that feels like a "happy giftie day" to us..... and we don't bother with gifts at Christmas. why spend just to say we did? ...
