Holiday sister crafting!

        I’m Back!!!!

                                                                        Hello everyone
Yes, I know, I know…it’s been forever since I visited with you lovely folks.
What can I say, but life seems to have gotten in the way of
me and my blog…I can offer no other explanation.

My little sister came from New York for a visit
and you better believe I had her knee deep in Halloween and Christmas whimsy.
My sister is NOT the artsy/crafty type.
She is more the grab an iced latte and watch me create kind of gal.
However on this visit I had her getting in touch with her creative side.
I think she really enjoyed it and I loved seeing her create beautiful holiday decor for her home.
We made Halloween garland, vintage style putz houses,
watercolor holiday cards, decoupaged Santa wood tag ornaments and glittery snowball ornaments!
                                                                 So much fun!!

Snowy glittered snowball ornaments

Paper machè Putz houses

So sweet

She added snow and glass glitter to this tiny cottage and it was so cute!

Decoupaged Santa gift tag onto a wooden tag. So fun and easy. We edged them in gold and glittered them.

We decoupaged paper images onto drop cloth material, softly stuffed and created the most festive and spooky garland for her fireplace mantel.

No sewing involved…we glued the edges!!

Look how great they turned out!
My sister is back home now, but she a took a big bag filled with all her creations.
We had such fun together and I can’t wait for her to visit again.
So that’s it for now, until next time.
I promise not to be such a stranger if you promise to leave me a comment.
I love hearing from you guys.
Let me know if you have started or have any creative holiday crafting scheduled these next few months.

Be well, eat some delicious food and get enough sleep.

  1. Love the Halloween garland. Never thought to just use glue. Great idea. Do you have an idea for a Christmas garland?

    1. Hello Marilyn…We used hot glue, just a thin bead along the edges. I got my images from Etsy and they offered tons of holiday images also. They are digital downloads and only cost a couple of dollars. You print them off on your home computer and you can print as many as you need. Check out Holler Park Primitives on Etsy! Have fun!!
