Let's Have a Giveaway!!

This Giveaway is officially closed. I will post all winners on Monday morning. Thanks to all who have visited and entered!
Good morning friends...it's early and a very cold 18 degrees outside. I just filled my bird bowls with warm water and already they are coming for a morning drink.
This handsome guy comes everyday for a 'cocktail'
I love Mockingbirds...not the most colorful, but so elegant and proud looking. His beautiful song more than makes up for his lack of color.

This reminds me of the Sesame Street song....

One of these things is not like the other
one of these things just doesn't belong
can you tell which thing is not like the other
 before I finish my song

Of course, everybody's favorite, the gorgeous Eastern Bluebird. The females are at the back and males in front. Notice how much more colorful the boys are....show offs!
Please remember that if you feed the birds in the winter, you must also give them fresh water. When everything is frozen, they have such a hard time finding any. Your reward will be a beautiful and fun show everyday.

Ok...now about this Giveaway. As those who visit me on a regular basis already know, I have been obsessed with knitting 'Circle of Love' scarves for the last few months. I have amassed quite a collection and find myself creating more each day.

This is just some of my collection. Some are more snug around the neck...some more drapey. On many I have taken advantage of my yarn stash and incorporated as many as 7-8 different yarns in one scarf. I have used Alpaca, Wool, Mohair, Soy, Cotton, Acrylic and lots of fun fashion yarns for flair.
All are very soft, super warm and cozy and so very practical.
But the most important quality of my scarves is all the love I knitted into them. They were born during a time of hope and friendship.
That is the spirit in which I will give them away.

I also have been having a little fun crocheting wool flowers which I wet felt by hand. I will be creating pretty detachable brooches that can be worn on your scarf or pinned to another garment. One of these brooches will be included with each scarf.
Here are just a few ......

So here we go.........

I will try to keep my Giveaway simple, all I ask is that you be a follower and please leave a comment telling me if you have a color preference. I would love for you to spread the word via Twitter, Facebook and such, but that is not a requirement.
If you have time to blog about my giveaway that would be wonderful and appreciated...don't worry, I have enough for multiple winners.
I do not want to exclude my dear international friends, so YES...you are all included!
This is all in honor of my dear friend Phyllis, who I know would approve of all this love being shared with all of you.
So are you feeling lucky??
Giveaway will be open until Sunday, January 16th so you have lot's of time to enter and tell your friends.

Until next time...be kind and stay creative.

P.S....I am trying to get my Etsy shop back on track, but is taking forever to go through my inventory and remove all the items I have sold at the different pre-holiday shows...be patient please ;-

We have lots of bluebirds but they don't tend to show themselves too much this time of the year. Instead we have LOTS of cardinals and some bluejays. Mockingbirds however are a ton of fun to watch and we love their feisty attitudes too.

Great scarves and flowers too! Looks like you have fun with it all.

Your blue birds are sooooo pretty. I feed the birds here regularly and have flocks of all sorts of birds at the front and back of our house but none are quite so vibrant as yours.
If I was lucky enough to win I would have to say that beautiful blue of your blue birds just has to be my fav colour :-)

Welcome back...I love your photos of the birds and though I keep my feeder full I have neglected the water dish so will keep that in mind this winter in VA. I would love one of your brown scarves, did you post the directions yet? I seem to have missed that possible posting.

It's good to have you back! Your birds are so beautiful! Ours over here are much drabber...but I love them anyway. Of course I want to enter your give-away. I love the scarves/collars. I like all your colors...blue, grey and ochre are particular favorites, but I don't see any I don't love. Looking forward to seeing your store back on line too! Love!

Hey Janet, I am officially jealous of those gorgeous birds that visit you EVERY day. The Bluebirds are so cute all fluffed up against the cold and the Mockingbirds, while they may not be colourful, their markings are very striking.
A little bit of housework first.....I have now become and official follower!!
Can't believe I wasn't already but I never really worried about it, so that's sorted ........
Your scarves are lovely and when Summer passes they would be just the ticket here.
I love the first photo, but anything made by you with memories of Phyllis woven into it would be a pleasure to own.

Blue skies and sunshine here today.

Sweet Friend...
I raced over to see the giveaway (secretly hoping I would win whatever you were giving away)but with the rememberance of Phyllis I am now hoping to win the scarf for my dear friend Matt's wife who is fighting breast cancer right this moment. Recovering from her mastectomy and half way through her chemo treatments. I do believe any pretty scarf you make would help to brighten her days. You are wonderful, Janet!

Would love to win one of your colorful scarves, not particular about the color!

We feed birds too but today they are no where to be seen - we have an inch of snow in Wilmington and it's cold, cold, COLD. Don't laugh but that's a lot for us to handle!

Well, I'm following you!!!

I really love the colors in the green/sparklies/salmon colored scarf, not because it's the first pic listed, but those are the colors I like....and I'm sure it has something to do with the grey of winter here.

Question: what do you put in the water mix? how do you get it out when it's frozen (to refill it) and how do you keep the pan from tipping/falling off the rail? questions questions....

I'm traveling all over your blog right now.....
