Who's blackmailing you?

That's what my hubby asked me the other day. He noticed quite a few outgoing payments to names like KellyAnn's and Joann's and he wanted to know what these women had on me. Had they witnessed me committing some kind of illegal act and I was buying their silence.
If only it was that simple!
I went into my local Joann's yesterday to buy a package of these...

d-rings for my apron ties
I ended up buying these.....

home decor weight cotton
I couldn't help it...just look at those colors and very cool patterns. They are screaming SPRINGTIME.
I'm thinking bright and cheery aprons and summer tote bags.

 Good thing I had these...

These coupons can save you a Kings ransom.

On a knitting note....have you ever heard of Yarn Bombing??

Look what Robyn Love knitted for one of her local water towers....too cool! Thats a lot of yarn.

And just look at all this yarn loveliness. I'm not sure what I love more...the patterned cowl, crocheted circle scarf or that fabulous jacket. Each piece is divine.

This photo cracked me up...see anything wrong...look closely at both Mom and daughter and what they are knitting.
I don't know what style of knitting they are practicing, but when I knit, I really find it helpful to hold the yarn...DUH! Neither of them is holding the yarn at all...it is just dangling there. I am going out on a limb and saying they are models only  ;-)

Switching gears again...on to my kitchen. I am progressing nicely with my cabinets.

This is what it looks like with the top part primed and painted. Ignore all the 'stuff' and yes that is a box of my Christmas dishes still waiting to go to the basement...just keeping it real folks.
I'm thinking of keeping the cabinets over the fridge open for my cookbook collection.

I am very pleased with how the Behr Ultra is going on. I am rolling on and then smoothing out with a brush. When I smooth the paint you can see brush marks, but then the paint seems to just smooth itself out and they all disappear.

Look how smooth!

I have drying doors everywhere. This paint dries very fast also.

I am really loving the clean look of this style of kitchen. Very different from what I have now.

I am absolutely doing this under my sink..I love this look. Makes me think 1920's vintage. Great way to pull in color in a white kitchen.
So we'll see how it all turns out...should be finished in a few weeks and then hubby can do his beadboard thing on my Island.

Now you know I can't say goodbye without a bird pic......

This big guy is sitting outside as I type...looking for lunch I suspect.  Hide little birds...hide!
Last note....my little Carolina Wren  is back in my garage for the winter. Welcome back little one!
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.

Oh how I love the look of light colored cabinets, Hubby however is having none of that. He's a wood guy and it drives me nuts. My kitchen is so dark and depressing...

I am being blackmailed by Hobby Lobby! Went today and spent under $20...yesterday it was $33. Just love their fabric! I am trying to do better but it is so hard. New fabric comes every week...:(

Love the progress of the kitchen! Esp LOVE the curtain under the sink!! Can't wait to see the finished project!

Your kitchen is coming along so beautifully. I've been a big financial supporter of JoAnn's this year too, and also Micheal's. My yarn stash is taking over!

I'm currently avoiding JoAnn's, though, because I just know I can't resist those bright sunny spring fabrics. Our weather has been so dark and dismal this past month.

Can't wait to see your cabinets finished. Did you use oil based paint? I'm starting mine soon and can't wait to see the difference!

Everything looks so fresh and springy. Doesn't it make a difference. Love the new fabric. (But I don't dare look too hard for awhile.)

Janet,

I love when you hop upon someone who has such talent. I love the fabrics you bought. Beautiful colors. I always admire people who can make things. I only made two beautiful children, and that's about it. Thanks for following my blog. I appreciate it. I"m so new to this, and I"m loving discovering all these talented people such as yourself. I love Etsy by the way so congrats on your placement.

Hey Janet, what's the old saying " you can take the guy out of the FBI, but not the FBI out of the guy', or something like that...........
Gorgeous cheery fabrics you bought, love those bright colours. You'll be itchin' to get stitchin' soon.
I have heard of yarn bombing and seen some wonderful photos. There's certainly alot of stitching gone on in that water tower cover.....
Your kitchen is coming up a treat, what a difference a lighter colour makes. Look forward to seeing the final pics.
Thanks for popping by, enjoy your weekend,

I already love how it is turning out! I can't wait to see it with the doors on.

I'm thinking the person who knitted a whole silo cover might need an intervention...
