BUSTED!!

Happy Monday friends.
So glad to see you pop in for another visit.
As most of you are aware, our government seems to be having a problem balancing the National Budget.
My very funny and wise older brother Bobby posted this on his Facebook page today. I loved it and would like to share it with you.

Dear Congress,
"Last year I mismanaged my funds and this year my wife and I cannot agree on a budget. Until we have come to a unified decision that fits all our needs and interests, we will have to shut down our checkbook and will no longer be able to pay our taxes.I'm sure you'll understand.
Thank you very much for setting an example we can all follow."

Truer words were never spoken..well said Bobby!

Ok...on to the Busted title of this post.
Either a group or just one very busy
looks like an Army!
almost like little human hands
so much evidence!
who could it be?
For the last few days, I have noticed quite a mess in the morning on my deck. The bird feeders are disheveled and emptied. Also the potted plants have been dug up...Hmmmmm.

Last night, around 4am, we heard some noise outside. Gazing out the back door  we found ourselves staring eye to eye with
This guy!!
BUSTED!!!!!
Judging by the size of this raccoon, he has been eating more than birdseed. He was so cute though, instead of freaking out and running away, he simply shrugged his little shoulders, climbed down and walked calmly down the stairs. I love these little guys and I can't begrudge him being hungry.
Talk about 'dear in the headlight' look.

I wanted to share some blog news with you. I was contacted by a wonderful DIY blog called REMODELAHOLIC, to be a guest blogger. Cassidy and Justin liked my kitchen enough to want to know more about my process. Since I have gotten so many e-mails asking what paint, brushes and other products I used, I thought this would be a good way to answer them. I will keep you posted as to when it will run.
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.

Racoons look so sweet! But I'm sure I'd find them a pest if I had them raiding bins etc, sweet or not!

I agree with Gretel....they do look so sweet but I'm happy to say that my two big dogs keep them at bay around here...
Congrats on the guest blogging...you are a Rock Star...

Well the Gov should have made a budget last October. Now it's almost time for next year. I just want them to quit cutting school money. I love what Bobby said. What if everybody quit paying taxes? lol

I'd know those paws anywhere! We don't have raccoons in France but they were very familiar to us in California. I wasn't of fond of them as you are. Congratulations on your guest blog request, Janet. Your remodel was so remarkable that I am not at all surprised. Your Empty Nest is getting to be a super star!

Hey Janet, cute wildlife in your neck of the woods, our equivalent would probably be a possum and fortunately none live on my patch.
Cute little faces but not so cute ways........

Bobby certainly hit the nail on the head.

Well done on the guest blog invite. Your kitchen remodel certainly was a DIY project and a half.

Cold and wet here this morning, Winter has arrived early but back up to 22deg. by Saturday. Don't know if I'm Arthur or Martha and No.1 has the WInter Blues already......

Love the letter to COngress! Why do they get to make up their own rules when they don't do their job?
Racoons are such stinkers, and they can be very mean and destructive. I still love to see them, I had a baby racoon for a pet when I was little and it was a sweet little thing. They revert to being wild when the reach adulthood though.
