Hello friends and a big welcome to all my new readers. If you found me because of my SkyeReve fabric giveaway, I am so glad you are here.
My $50.00 fabric giveaway is still open, so when you are finished enjoying this post, head on over here
and put your name in the blogger hat.
Someone has to win...why not YOU?
Yesterday was a rainy, dreary day and I was needing a little something to make me smile.
In the afternoon, I grabbed my umbrella and walked up to the mailbox hoping just maybe there was a belated birthday card or something similar to cheer me up.
I opened my mailbox and to my delight, I found this...

A package from England!!!!
You should have seen the smile on my face.
This is just the thing I needed and You will soon see why.
Isn't she simply beautiful???
Everyone...I would like to introduce you to my newest adopted girl..
Wanda the White
Wanda is a white needle felted Mole who was brought to life by the extremely talented
Gretel Parker, artist extraordinaire.
I had earlier adopted Milly the Mole, but I think Milly was feeling very lonely and needed a friend to talk to.
As soon as Wanda took a little nap (traveling all the way from the Cotswolds, England is very tiring)
and freshened up her wool jacket, she and Milly enjoyed a hot cuppa.
Gretel was thoughtful enough to send along a lovely box of Twinnings Breakfast Blend loose tea.
Wanda is very particular about her tea...she likes it very strong and with milk.
Milly knew just how to brew the perfect cup for her new friend.

Would you just look at the delightful detail of Wanda's bonnet. The little rosettes are divine.
Her jointed arms make it so easy for her to enjoy her tea.
You can watch this short video Gretel made, to get an idea of the many hours it takes to create these fabulous toys.
All Gretel's toys include a little heart...proof positive that her creations have heart
;->
Wanda and Milly have vowed to be friends forever and to take care of each other no matter what.
Don't we all need a friend like that?
For a final good-bye shot these two new BFF's insisted on the obligatory
heads touching cell phone pose.
Yup...BFF's for sure!
Thank you Gretel for adding a touch of whimsy to my life.
I know we have never met, but I feel a sisterly connection for sure ,all though I am old enough to be your mother!
;->
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.

I love the heads touching cell phone pose pic!! Both are just so adorable!
I am so happy that they made your day!
They are so cute! And look like they will be lifelong friends for sure! :)
Send some rain to Texas! We are literally burning up down here!
Oh Janet, you've given them life too, with your gorgeous pictures! They look lovely together (I didn't realise that Wanda would be so much smaller than Milly!) They look utterly delightful with their pretty tea cups (and making me thirsty) - I hope you don't mind if I swipe some of your sweet pictures to share around the Interneterverse? Thank you so much for bringing these two together.X
oh my goodness, they are just precious, what fun they will have together, I can just imagine lots more tea parties! Gretel is so talented isn't she! So nice to have found your blog through her, Hugs, Catherine x
Adorable! I see the cutest things made with needle felting and Wanda and Millie have to be some of the cutest ever!
Wanda is a sweetheart for sure and I'm glad Milly won't be lonely any longer! Enjoy your tea, it's my favorite. :)

Aww they're so cute!!
Wow, you can't let your mind wander whilst your needle felting can you? Looks very dangerous!
Very sweet post...the photos could be featured in a child's story book. Wanda and Millie look perfect on your blue table and that blog header is extra special too, Janet!
Aw, great photos of your lovely felted friends Janet! Lovely to receive a fab package from a bloggie friend - perfect 'pick me up' on a rainy day :D (especially with the addition of some English breakfast tea!!)

Very cute. Love the hearts.
Bravo to you and to Gretel for allowing that charming duo to settle down for tea together. Your photos are quite whimsical and definitely show Gretel's talent to very good advantage.
