Lovely..Lovely
Antoinette
For all of us who have been waiting patiently for a beautiful
PINK..
The wait is over
come March that is..
Antoinette has been available overseas, but not in the
USA.
She will make her debut during

Annie even has designed some gorgeous
floral cabbage rose French fabric to pair with her Antoinette.
Hopefully, her fabric line will be available in the USA soon.
I can't wait to get my hands on a few yards of this print.
Ideas are swirling all around in my head as I type!
Hurry Annie...Hurry!

An inspiration for Annie was the pink found on an old house in
 La Harve, in Northern France.
I love this color!

Annie Sloan says about her inspiration for creating Antoinette:
“I was inspired to create this colour when I saw pink on a house in the old part of Le Havre in Northern France. Antoinette is the colour of washed out roses and of old plaster.
It is a soft, pale pink with a hint of brown that stops the pink being too sweet.
Antoinette works well our Faded Roses fabric – a beautiful old print.”

Well said Annie.
I love the fact that Annie Sloan's
paint colors are not just colors pulled out of
routine color charts,
but they have an
authentic and historical life all their own.

If you follow Annie on Facebook,
you might have seen this wonderful poster.

As seen on Annie's Facebook Page

So generous of Annie to be donating a portion of the proceeds of her
towards Cancer research.
So if you are thinking about joining Annie at one of her regional workshops,
now you can feel good about helping a worthy cause also.
I really hope to see some of my blog friends
in Leesburg this March.
I know Annie will not disappoint
and we will all come away with a greater knowledge
and appreciation of what this incredible paint can do.
I wish it was March!
Can you tell I'm
anxious and excited??

Until next time...be kind and stay creative.

What a beautiful color! I just saw the most gorgeous french inspired room on HGTV last night on Genieve's show she referred to it as blush, it was gorgeous. I used alot of pink in my decorating in the 80's not sure if I want to go back to that.

Just pretty as a bride, Janet. I still haven't gone to my local supplier yet. I long to start painting furniture, but so much to do and so little time. Sigh.

You may need one or two layers based on large of the wooden or definite and large of the colour. Light colors will need more layers generally.
