~ a day of blues ~

Hello friends......welcome back!

As you all know, last Sunday was Mother's Day.
Mother Nature cooperated beautifully with sunny clear blue skies and soft white clouds.

The theme of blues seemed to be everywhere that day.
My favorite flower, Tall Bearded Iris', where standing tall and majestic in their royal blue uniforms. They smelled divine also.

Our Eastern Bluebird boxes were full of sweet bluebird babies with blue tinged feathers.
Momma Bluebird was watching me very intently as I snapped this photo.
Whenever I check on the babies, I always call up to the Mom on the telephone wire..
"Good job Mom!"
I think she understands I am not going to hurt her little family.

Another box on the property...all snuggled tight together.
Lots of love to be found.

I even found a little love in a Black Walnut seed that a squirrel had broken open.
Look how perfect
Yes symbols of love and so many shades of blue to be found.

As wonderful and beautiful as Mother Nature's blues are, I experienced a different blue on Mother's Day.
My sweet Mom is beginning to lose her memory and she is starting to forget many around her, including her own children. My sisters Maddy and Joanne (resident angels) have moved Mom out of her apartment and she will now be living in a nice apartment above Joanne's home.
Mom has vivid recollections of loved ones in her past, but often will not remember what she has been doing just hours before.
I am so afraid and sad to think of the day I will call her and she will say..
"Janet who?"
My heart will break a little when that day comes.
Love the ones in your life NOW....time is so fleeting.
So good blues...bad blues, I guess it is just life going on around us. We just need to take the time to notice and appreciate it all.

Until next time...be kind and stay creative.

Janet, I am so sorry that your mother is losing her memory. I can't even imagine how hard that would be. Your family is fortunate that your sister has the room to care for her. I will be praying for your family.

Happy late Mother's Day to you, your mom, and to all of your sisters! Love the bluebird babies.

I always think of you when I see iris.

Hey Janet, what stunning blue Irises, just gorgeous and those little Bluebird babies. It must be exciting to have them nesting in your garden and to watch them grow.
Life can be difficult watching our parents age. It's so good that your mum can live close to family now.Hopefully they constant contact will help her hold onto the present......
Yes, life is fleeting,
Hugs to you dear Janet,

Paгkour was useԁ in ρoρular films,

Ι have to aԁmit, howeveг, I dіԁn't exactly like the idea of maybe ordering a pair of shoes on-line without trying them on first, but I figured, since they did at least have a return policy if they didn't fit well, I could at
least return them.

I'm really late, but Happy Belated Mother's day. When those little blue moments happen with your Mom, just remember back to a time when she knew exactly who you were. Memories are healing, I've learned this the hard way this past year. Sending mega hugs to you!
