Hello friends...Wow, this is a rarity..
Two posts within a week
I'm on a roll it seems.
Remember in the last post I showed the Union Jack vintage students desk?
My son Billy and I decoupaged a Cavalinni & Co. poster onto the drawers.
So easy!
I used Annie Sloan clear soft wax and distressed just a little.
I add some soft dark wax just on the edges to give it a little age.
The wax went on beautifully over the decoupage.
The desk top was in very good shape and had a nice soft patina, so I left it unpainted.
This makes it much more functional as a working desk also.
Especially if a young one is using it.
You will notice I only have a pull on the top drawer...still for matching pulls for the other three.
A few new pretty additions to the shop are a lovely Dominion of Canada porcelain tea cup and saucer.
In the center of this photo is a beautiful Made in Germany porcelain child's mug.
The gilded lettering says
" For A Good Boy"
It is tiny and so delicate...I love it.
and who can resist a pretty vintage Queens Coronation tea cup and saucer?
Not me...I had to bring it home.
Hopefully these pretty additions will find happy homes.
That's it for now..
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.
