Winner! The Empty Nest!

What a lovely surprise to open my e-mail and see that I had won a whole month of free ad space on a wonderful British blog from Hilary of haptree and me .
I had forgotten that I had even entered!  Don't you love it when that happens? Hilary's blog has taught me so much about all the tech stuff I knew nothing about. You know...things like how to create a clickable word or how to customize your blog. She is a wealth of information and shares it all willing...I love that!
Hilary also creates some very adorable wristlets..she inspires me. So many thanks!
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.
PS...my Mom and my baby sister are arriving Wednesday for a visit...YAY!!! It's been almost 2 years since my sister was here in Virginia. She said she would call me from the top of my driveway so I could have her chilled glass of White Zinfandel ready when she walked in the door  ;-)  She's so funny! I'll be posting about our mischief later.

Happy Independence Day!

It's American Independence Day friends and I thought you might enjoy a few lovely vintage patriotic images to help celebrate our freedom.
Enjoy your holiday, but please take time to remember how we achieved our freedom and be grateful.
Until next time...be kind and stay creative...and FREE!

Welcomed Company

Hello friends...I had a few very welcomed guests this week. Tale a look.....
I happened to look out the garage window around 7:30 pm and saw a flash of spots!
I very quietly went out onto the back deck and down the stairs, where I sat frozen like a statue with my camera. I was hoping I would not spook these babies. Don't you just love them....my own Bambi's!!
They snacked for a while and then wandered over to a few big Rose of Sharon bushes for shelter.
Where they cautiously settled in for a quick rest.
Thank you to the very noisy Harley that cruised by and scared them. They ran into my large end of the season and over grown Bearded Iris bed. They laid down in the middle until Mom came back for them. I have a feeling Mom would not have approved of them being so adventurous. The conversation must have been something like this. " Come on ...Mom will never know we left the garden"........"No...she said to stay in hidden in here...we are going to get in trouble if she catches us!"....."See, I told ya we should have stayed in there, I'm telling Mom you made me go out there!" Typical siblings.
In due time , Mom did come back for them and I'm sure she was non the wiser about their little afternoon of exploring.
Until next time...be kind and stay creative!
