This was taken in Harpers Ferry, Virginia. I love photos of gates.
Another Harpers Ferry photo..the simplicity of a stone wall.
Nice color in this photo
I love the liberties Sean took with this one. Her name is Daisy and she is afraid of the vacuum. Sean added the evil eyes..too cute.
Daisy has the prettiest eyes
I love the look on her face..as if she is shocked by the bare legs of the two american women.
Great mid-air photo.
Sean took his girlfriend of 8 years, Crystal, on a hot air balloon ride as a gift. He got some wonderful photos while drifting over the Blue Ridge Mtns.
This photo was taken towards the end of my sister Mary's long battle with cancer. My sister Joanne, brother Bobby and husband Bill had gone for a little break and found a park bench in Newport, Rhode Island. I can imagine the thoughts that were going through their heads as they sat gazing at the calm bay. I'm sure Mary was weighing heavy on their minds.
For me, this is Seans most poignant photo. It is a picture of her refrigerator with all the photos, business cards and cute magnets that we all have. The thing that makes hers different is that if you look closely you will see a radiation appointment card, a business card from the apartments where she spent the last days of her life, photos of the daughter and grandkids she left behind and yes...a funny magnet that I gave to her and that she made me promise to put on my fridge.( where it resides today). To me this photo speaks volumes about my sisters final journey home. I cherish this photo..thank you Sean.
I'll close with a beautiful photo representing the ultimate rebirth...a lovely butterfly. Nice job Sean!
Thanks to all of you for indulging in this proud moms little show and tell. Until next time, be kind and stay creative.

OK, I'll be honest...The photos are beautiful!!! I especially like the hot air balloon. It's so wonderful that you have special photos to remember your sister! You have every right to be a proud mama!
Janet, your son has such a unique eye and style of photography. Super creative and so good at telling a story with just one photograph of a moment in time! Really enjoyed those...and sad to hear that you lost one of your sisters. That would break my heart if I lost one of my three sisters. I am sure it has been difficult. Best to you! xoxo
WOW!! He is really good! Has he though of making a calendar?
I'm thinking Sean needs to do a one-man photo show and at a gallery...just saying I think he's that good....
ps...love the blog re-do.....
Very nice! Talented boy you've got there, Janet. Thanks for sharing. Loved the Daisy one! Sweet animal eyes always get to me.
You have every reason to be proud...Sean is an artist with his camera. Love the reflecting over the lake and the gate...something wonderful on the other side...and the memory fridg. He takes pictures from the 'heart'
Blessings
He is definitely talented beyond words. I can't remember the last time I was this moved by a blog post. The combination of your writing about your sister, & his photos really moved me. I am truly sorry to hear about your loss.
Sean's photographs are fantastic! He has a great eye! I esp love the wall, the family by the bay and the fridge...the photojornalist in him sees the story as it unfolds before him and captures it. How lucky for you to enjoy his vision! Thank you for sharing them with us!

What treasures! Thanks for sharing them. I look forward to seeing more.
You're right Mom! The photos are amazing, especially the gate and the stone wall. And I love the humor in the one with the bare legs!
I've tagged you for an award! Go to my blog for instructions.
You have every reason to be proud of Sean! I especially love the first three color photos. This artistic stuff just runs through your family obviously!
