If it's Wednesday...I Must Be At My Salvation Macy's!

Hello friends...so glad you have found a moment to stop by. Your visits make my nest  not so empty.
Well you all know by now that on Wednesdays I head on over to my Salvation Macy's to hunt down a few bargains.
Well this week did not disappoint (do they ever??)
I found a few lovely treasures.
Look at this oh so pretty floral skirt by Fjall. The pattern reminds me of a Cath Kidston design.
It is beautifully constructed and fully lined. Perfect for a garden party half apron.
 Although I really wish I was a size 2
;-<
Alex and Merrick
I promised my niece Alex I would be on the look out for summer things for my great niece, her beautiful little Merrick.
I found this gorgeous Lily Pulitzer blouse. Spotless and for only $2.00!
I adore the pretty lavender buttons...these colors are so summery.
On the home decor front, I found a beautiful glass pitcher with silver engraved neck and handle.
When I (someday) have my outdoor tea party to introduce my friend Gretel to the USA, I will serve raspberry or peach iced tea from this beauty.
$11.00
The two petite juice glasses have the prettiest etched stars on them...perfect for juice with our Sunday morning eggs and toast.
$.75 each
The ceramic holder will be used at my kitchen sink to hold old tooth brushes for cleaning.
I love the detailed engraving at the neck
Pretty handle
I don't think this piece is old or valuable, but it is so pretty and it will be very handy at my sink.
$1.25
This made me laugh...Stella McCartney 'has designed' and sells a denim skirt on the website Net-a-Porter.com, for $515.00!!!
Dear Stella,
Please run, don't walk to your local thrift shop, and you can pick these up for less than $5.00!!!!!
Love,
Janet
 Fashion Designers...you gotta love em.
Ok...before you yell YIKES!!!  I have to apologize for the horrible photo quality. I was using my cell as I did not have my real camera with me. Plus, in blowing it up, it gets more distorted. I hope you can at least get the idea and appreciate the beauty here.
I have been searching for an ottoman for over a year. I am very fussy and have yet to find the perfect one.
Until now!
As soon as the doors opened, I ran straight to the furniture with my ottoman radar on full power.
THERE SHE WAS!!!!!
Oh no..........wait a minute...what's that paired with her.......not another chair!!!
I don't need another chair.
But then I sat in this one......or I should say I sank into a pillow of softness.
Looks like I will be slipcovering another chair.
But...hey, at least I finally have the perfect ottoman. Rolling casters and all!
I'm happy.
$52.00 for the pair
On the way home from my shopping, all HE double hockey sticks broke loose.
It rained so hard , I could not see the car in front of me...YIKES!
It rained on and off all evening, but just as the sun was setting, something wonderful occurred.

love how the sky to the right looks different from the other side of the rainbow
see the double rainbow?

The Lord apologized and treated us to a beautiful full rainbow.
I tried to capture it's splendor. It was so much prettier in person. The light kept changing...grey sky, then blue...back and forth.
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.
PS...it's the Secret Agents birthday today. Surprising him with his favorite dinner and homemade cake!
Happy Birthday Metz!

Great finds! I love the skirt and cute top, which would look so sweet with white shorts! I'm loving the pitcher with the silver detailing at the neck.

Your rainbow photo is great- we had a glorious rainbow the other day but if faded before I could grab the camera.

Beautiful photos! I've been hoping to see a rainbow as a treat for all this rain, but no luck yet. Your rainbow photos are certainly a treat for all of us!
The silver accented pitcher is quite a nice find. It will be perfect for tea at your outdoor tea party.
Love the idea for holding toothbrushes for cleaning. I think this is an idea I will borrow if I come across a pretty toothbrush holder.
Can't wait to see your redo on the chair and ottoman.
You had a great day at the SA!

Ooh Gretel's in for a treat Janet....... That glass pitcher is gorgeous, what a find and I just love the fabric in that skirt, one of my favourite colour combos. Can't wait to see what you make from it.
An ottoman and chair as well, go wild Janet, work your makeover magic on it. I love seeing what you do to these sad chairs, giving them a new lease of life.
Stunning rainbow pics, isn't the light breathtaking?

Sweet photo of Alex and Merrick......

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Claire :}

So Stella McCartney has reinvented the denim skirt...and only $550? How do some designers even have the chutzpah to put that out there? lol. You got some great things at your SA. The skirt is so C Kidston, love it!
