Check one off my Bucket List

Hello friends...thanks so much for visiting again. Well it's Fun Friday!
I can now tell you that my 'Bucket List' has just gotten shorter by one.
Ever since I found this photo on a weather website, I have been obsessed with these cloud formations
These are rare Mammatus clouds.
They are formed by Ice crystals and water. So named for their resemblance to a womens breast.
I was in love the moment I saw these in a photo.
I hoped that someday I would get to witness them firsthand.
Well, guess what????
The other evening after a very hot (97degrees) and humid day, we had a threat of severe thunderstorms.
These are perfect conditions for Mammatus cloud formation.
My photographer son called me on his cell to tell me to run outside and look at the clouds.
OMGOSH!!!!!!!!
I had the biggest grin on my face as I looked up and saw these.
My very own Mammatus clouds.
Aren't these gorgeous?
They tend to accompany those large ominous anvil clouds and guess what...
They did!
I love this shot.
When I was a little girl, I used to think these clouds were God's bedroom and he had the light on.
Silly, I know, but I was young
Heck...who am I kidding, I still think that!
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.
I forgot to tell you...
My Hydrangeas are in bloom!!

I love the hint of chartreuse tucked in with the purple and blue.
Thrifted crystal vase courtesy of my Salvation Macy's..$3.50..can I get an AMEN to that?

It's wonderful when Mother Nature gives you just what you've been asking for. Great shots! Great clouds.

Cool! There is just something about clouds that is calming. We have a special type of cloud that we call the 'Spokane Clouds'. They are large cumulus clouds in a brilliant blue sky that just float around. They always remind us of 9 wonderful years spent in Spokane.

What incredible photos Janet! I've never heard of these kinds of clouds and I don't think I've seen them before either. Now I have a new item for my list. I really love the one over the house. Gorgeous hydrangeas too!

I wish I could grow hydrangeas...I kill them everytime or they give up and die, I don't know which! They are beautiful!

Beautiful cloud photos! It's nice to know something good came from those excruciatingly hot and humid days we had. I really love the last cloud photo which has the white house in the center. Your hydrangea photo with the vase on the doily is so clear and beautiful, too.

Wow what a great one to strike off your bucket list. I am in awe of these photo's you captured.
Their really something. Isn't it wonderful the thoughts we come up with when we are young. I wish that had never left me.
Your Hydrangeas are so lovely. They are one of my favorite flowers yet I don't have a one planted here on the North Forty. These make me wish I did.
Your comment brought a big toothless grin to my face just now. hahahhaa
Love it when you come by
have a great weekend
Love
