~and then there are the GOOD packages in the mail~

Hello friends...welcome back and I hope you are all surviving the week.
Last week I mentioned receiving a package in the mail
that made me sad..you can read about the sad package here.
My how things can change.
This week a package was left at my front door
that put a huge smile on my face.

See this pretty lady tossing a pillow in a Better Homes & Garden Feature....
Her name is Kim and she blogs at
Kim is not only an artist/designer,
but she is also a Federal Agent.
Talk about being well rounded!

One of the biggest reasons I adore this lady
is her wonderful and dedicated work on behalf of animals.
Kim gives of her time and her personal pocketbook.
All proceeds of Bella Rustica Market are donated to animal charities.
Kim's California kitchen was featured in
Better Homes and Gardens
Bath & Kitchens in 2010.
Beautiful!

Then Kim's job took her to Georgia.
St. Simons Island to be exact.
Kim ended up purchasing a home that had been vacant for about 8 years.
With that came a whole host of renovation problems, like
MOLD.
Kim hired a professional to tackle that
and she also found a wonderful contractor
who helped bring her plans for this little pink house to fruition.

After months of hard work
Kim had herself a beautiful Island home.
In fact it was featured in
Elegant Island Living Magazine.
Wow...this gal ends up in magazines no matter where she lives...gotta love that.

Here is a little preview of her kitchen before..
you should see the after...Wowsa!
You won't believe how she transformed the inside.
Please treat yourself and check out Kim's

Now about my package...

Here she is...all plump and soft.

Kim  was having a giveaway on her blog a little while back
and the winner would receive one of her
Gorgeous handmade burlap pillows.
I left a comment telling Kim how beautiful I thought her pillows were.
To my surprise, Kim e-mailed me and offered to send me one.
Yeah...just SEND ME ONE!!!!
How generous is that?
She refused to accept money,
so instead I made a donation in her name
to the animal charity she had posted on her blog sidebar.

This is the first burlap ..anything.. that I have owned.
I love it!

**LaVita e Bella**
'Life is Beautiful'
Yes it is Kim
and so are you!

I would love for you to hop on over to say hello to my friend Kim at Bella Rustica.
Maybe browse her Bella Rustica Market
and read about her unselfish work with animals.
Tell her Janet sent you.

Until next time...be kind and stay creative
Oh...and as Kim says
"La Vita e Bella"

That is a great pillow and looking at the photo of her kitchen I swear I know that chandelier! I'm pretty sure it's made in my neck of the woods and I've been to shops around here that carry it - I am currently stalking one in a shop near me!
