~ it's coming...it's coming ~

 Yes...it's finally coming to
The Empty  Nest

Annie Sloan's wonderful interactive
WORK
BOOK
I have held this gem of a book in my hands and let me say..
I LOVE IT!!
No more photos, magazine clippings or fabric swatches all over my studio.
Now I will be able to keep all my color and design thoughts and favorites all in one place.
This book is like getting a peek into Annie's private sketch book as it is filled with little doodles, helpful painting tips and such.

The spiral bound pages are paintable...YES, I said PAINTABLE!
That is pure genius.
Now you can keep a record of those custom colors you are creating for your painted pieces and clients.
You will find pockets for your decorating ideas
and color suggestions from the Annie herself.

How cool is this???
This photo shows one of the French decorating styles, Rococo, and how to achieve it with color, fabric and furniture style.
OK....so I got an idea.....
I know many of you may only have a few of Annie's beautiful colors, so I have decided to try to raise a little money for charity by letting you come by
The Empty Nest
and use my paint to fill in your paint circles as seen in the picture above. There are multiple pages explaining the various French styles and how to achieve them with color.
A $5.00 donation will be collected and forwarded to
The American Cancer Society
for each 'Play With Paint' visit.
My books have been ordered and I hope to have them possibly by the weekend.
Call or stop by the shop to have one held for you as this creative
                                                    WORK
                                                    BOOK

will only be available at your local Chalk Paint™ decorative paint shop..
LIKE ME!
It will not be sold in bookstores or Amazon.
Shopping for the holidays...this will be the perfect gift for a creative loved one and at only $24.95, it's an excellent value.

The Empty Nest
will also be providing you ladies (or gents) with a pre-stamped
WISHLIST
Postcard for the holidays.
Simply stop by and fill out the card with items you would love to receive for the holidays, address the card to the giver and I will mail it for you.
How easy is that???
Paint..waxes..brushes or maybe a seat in a workshop next year.
Much more appreciated than a toaster or the clothes that are never the right size...by the way, what's up with that. You can be married to the same guy for 40 years and he STILL does not know your correct size!!!
The Empty Nest
will have lot's of wonderful Holiday events happening in December, so do come visit and see what we are up to.
Until next time...be kind and stay creative.
