Painted Easter Eggs...of course there are roses!

Hello friends, so happy to have you here.
Well, this Sunday is Easter Sunday for many of us and I have been seeing so many creative and lovely decorated eggs on the blogs I like to frequent.
I decided to boil up a dozen eggs and give it a go also.
I am pretty pleased with them.

 Aren't they cute?
I decided to do what I do best and that is to paint fun flowers and designs.

Of course, I painted roses on many of them...you expected that, right?

I used some Wilton Icing colors and treated them like watercolors.
It worked perfectly!

I used an old saved pie tin as my palette paper. FYI...NEVER tose them as they come in so handy for many different projects.

I did not worry about too much detail or if they would turn out perfect...perfectly imperfect was good enough for me. You don't have to be an artist to paint simple flowers or strips and polka dots.
Just go for it and enjoy the process.

I have to share with you my most favorite egg cup. Isn't this little bunny egg cup adorable?
Another thrift/charity shop treasure.

It will be a shame to have to crack the shells to get to the egg.

I am very pleased with them and I think this would be a fun holiday project for the children in your life.
You could mix the food coloring with some white vinegar and let the little ones use inexpensive brushes or q-tips.
Children can easily manage dot flowers, stripes, and circles.
Just have fun.

Until next time.....be kind and stay creative.
Happy Easter
Hugs,
Janet xox
