Talk About a Surprise!!

Hello friends...welcome back and Happy Saturday!

So let me set the scene for you:
I'm with some friends at my local Costco, which I had just visited a couple of days ago.
Since I really didn't need to shop, I thought I would pass the time by browsing the magazine section.

I see a copy of GREENCRAFT which is published by the great Stampington & Co. people.
I instantly am smitten by the felted sweater tea cup pin cushions.
Are they not adorable??
So I start flipping beautiful page after creatively beautiful page and

I see something that catches my eye....something that looks strangely familiar!

HEY....that's MY upcycled vintage napkin scarf!!!!!!
Lovely niece Kelly

I had no idea it was being one e-mailed or notified me in any way.

Lovely niece Kelly II

Don't get me wrong...I'm thrilled, just very surprised.
Dear Amanda Crabtree, Senior might give a gal a heads up.
I don't think Costco shoppers take too kindly to listening to a crazy lady running around the store yelling "I'm in this magazine...look, that's me!!!!"
Just saying!

Until next kind and stay creative.
Sharing here this week:
Pink Saturday!

That's exciting, but you would think they would have said something. Was it from a post you did. I remember Kelly modeling some things before. Great job.

How very exciting. It's a good thing Costco doesn't have one of those announcements such as the blue-light special...I can hear it now...Attention Costco shoppers, Highly Talented Janet of The Empty Net on isle three autographing issues of GreenCraft. Get your copy now!

Congratulations! Although, I agree, it would have been nice for them to give you a heads up.

What a surprise/shock of the nicest sort, but as you say it would be nice to know ahead of time.

Congratulations, you are becoming quite the media mogul. Beautiful scarf by the way, just love those colours.

Hello, just over from Bronteland in Yorkshire, England to find some other empty-nesters.
What an amazing story; you must have thought you were seeing things! It looks like a pretty big feature too... Well done! Jane Gray

That is soooo cool !!! I have heard more people say that they
had no clue they were being featured in a Stampington publication ~

Congratulations Janet! A fun surprise for you, but they should have sent you the complimentary mag and shame on them for not notifying you! They get a pretty penny for those publications and without submissions like yours they wouldn't have anything to sell.
